IMPROV FOR ACTORS WITH PATRICK BRISTOW AT SHS (All Levels)
This six week course will focus on giving students the tools used by improv comedians to apply to their scripted work as well as improvised scenes. Emphasis will be placed on acquiring acute listening skills, infusing your work with your own point of view, developing full attendance to your scene partner, recognizing and honoring your instincts, and much more. Mr. Bristow, (Groundlings/ Co-Creator “Puppet Up”/ Whose Line Is It Anyway?), brings over 25 years of teaching experience to this course. Connectivity between improv technique and how it can apply to audition preparation, taking direction, and creating character will be explored.
